We are a local EPC company that executes agile multi-discipline engineering projects, with a typical lifecycle of 12-18 months, to clients with critical infrastructures. We love to solve local problems with local talent. Our projects consist of modifications done on existing factories, as well as green fields and renewable projects. Our project executions range from pure design (including conceptual design), up to total EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction). To qualify for a role as Mechanical Engineer you would need as a minimum:Â
Requirements
• To generate and execute technical deliverables including:
o scoping;
o work breakdown and
o allocation as well as generation of technical mechanical and piping specifications and
designs on Greenfields and Brownfields projects
• Ensure that discipline deliverables have been executed in accordance with the necessary
technical standards, specifications, client requirements, applicable internal quality systems,
and interface requirements with other work/disciplines.
• Interfacing and liaising with clients during proposal, design, and construction phases of
projects.
• Interfacing and liaising with supply, fabrication and construction subcontractors during
proposal, design and construction phases of projects.
• To perform discipline inputs in MFD (P&ID) reviews, HAZOP study, Model and
constructability reviews, Mechanical /design philosophy review meetings internally and
with clientsÂ
Qualifications/Experience
• B Eng. / BSc (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Three to Eight years’ experience in industrial mechanical and piping engineering projects.
• Registered as a candidate with ECSA.
• Experience in the application of ASME codes, API Standards, Pressure Equipment
Regulations, SANS 347, and other international standards for vessels and piping.
• Exposure to piping and mechanical fabrication and construction projects and processes.
• Experience in projects that involve multi-discipline teams.Â
• Exposure to and experience within the petrochemical sector and API standards would be
advantageous.
• Vessel and piping design experience would be advantageous.Â
